데일리매거진 - 日정부, 동해 표기 홍보 동영상...′받아들일 수 없다′ 항의

[데일리매거진=김학철 기자] 일본 정부는 우리 외교부가 최근 동해 표기 홍보 동영상을 일본어 등 5개 국어판으로 추가 제작해 공개한 데 대해 항의했다고 산케이신문이 15일 전했다.

보도에 따르면 일본 외무성은 전날 주일 한국대사관에 "'일본해'라는 명칭은 국제적으로 확립된 유일한 명칭으로, 우리나라 입장에서 동영상 내용을 받아들일 수 없다"고 항의했다.

우리 외교부는 지난 2월 발표한 한국어와 영어 버전에 이어 일본어·스페인어·프랑스어·러시아어·독일어 등 5개 국어 버전의 동해 표기 홍보 동영상을 추가로 제작해 지난 13일 동영상 공유사이트 유튜브에 올렸다.

이 동영상은 '2천년 이상 불려온 이름 동해, 동해는 이 바다의 가장 오래된 이름입니다'라는 문구를 시작으로 각종 사료와 외교 문건을 토대로 동해 병기가 타당한 까닭을 설명한다.
